News and tips from the CBD World

Get informed about CBD and hemp properties, the more you know the better you'll feel.

What is CBD?

CBD, cannabidiol, is a compound also known as Phytocannabinoids, naturally produced by the cannabis plant. CBD is not a psychoactive substance like THC, another Phytocannabinoids naturally produced by cannabis. CBD might have medical benefits, and this is why different studies have been and will be conducted by scientists.

Why do we react to the CBD?

The endocannabinoid system is composed of receptors that interact with molecules produced by our own organism, which have been recently discovered inside our bodies. Receptors are present in different areas such as the brain, connective tissues, and control functions of the immune and nervous system and beyond. To date, it is not yet possible to establish with full certainty the precise function of these receptors and their effects. It is known that they are an integral part of the wider human internal regulation system. Endocannabinoids are substances that our body produces naturally in order to stimulate these receptor.

Would you like to read some studies about CBD?

Studies have shown that some diseases could be correlated with a non-optimal functioning of the endocannabinoid system, therefore, regulating its level or reducing its deterioration, can bring great benefits. Phytocannabinoids are plant substances that stimulate the receptors present in human bodies, CBD is one of them. For further information on the topic, it is advisable to consult scientific articles such as "Care and Feeding of the Edocannabinoid System: A Sytematic Review of Potential Clinical Interventions that Upregulate the Endocannabinoid System" by John M. McPartland, Geoffrey W. Guy and Vincenzo di Marzo from which this information is derived, and many other are available on Google.

What are the potential benefits?

The potential benefits of CBD discovered until now in pre-clinical studies are several:
Anti-psoriatic and anti-proliferative
Analgesic and anti-inflammatory effect
Neuroprotective and anti-spasmodic
Anti-bacterial and anti-emetic
